Ginny has played a pivotal role in shaping and leading Crossref’s community team since 2015. Her portfolio encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including community engagement and communications, member experience, technical support, and metadata strategy. Prior to her tenure at Crossref, Ginny spent a decade at ‘Ardent,’ where she provided invaluable consultancy services within scholarly communications.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Ginny founded the Metadata 20\/20 collaboration, a visionary initiative advocating for richer, connected, reusable, and open metadata. She has been a guiding force behind several open infrastructure initiatives, including ROR (Research Organization Registry) and POSI (The Principles of Open Scholarly Infrastructure). She has also co-founded FORCE11’s Upstream community blog, a hub dedicated to all things open research.<\/p>\n
