もう悩まない！英語論文アブストラクトの書き方

論文のアブストラクトを書くとき、「何語以内におさめようか」「どんなスタイルで書こうか」「結果をどこまで含めるべきか」など悩まれた経験はありませんか？今回のエナゴのウェビナーでは、英語論文のアブストラクトを書く際におかしやすい誤りを避け、読み手をひきつけインパクトを与えるアブストラクトを書くコツをご紹介します。

アブストラクトは、読んだだけで研究の概要がわかるよう、簡潔かつ分かりやすく書かなくてはなりません。論文の読者が最初に目にする部分でもあり、ここで興味をひかなければ本文を読んでもらえないため、大変重要な箇所です。検索エンジンや文献データベースに収められることを視野に入れ、検索されやすいキーワードを設定することも大切です。

About the Speaker

田口善弘 教授（中央大学理工学部物理学科）

1961年東京生まれ。1988年東京工業大学大学院理工学研究科修士課程修了。理学博士。2006年より現職。専門はバイオインフォマティクスおよび非線形物理学。30年以上の研究を通じて100を超える論文を発表。また過去5年間だけでも『BMC Medical Genomics』『Medicine (Lippincott Williams & Wilkins journal)』『PLoS ONE』『IPSJ Transactions on Bioinformatics』など50以上の国際ジャーナルにおいて査読を担当。バイオインフォマティクスの国際学会「InCob」では、2014年と2017年に最優秀論文賞、 2018年には最優秀口頭発表賞を受賞するなど数多くの受賞歴を持つ。著作も多数あり、『砂時計の七不思議』では第12回講談社出版文化賞科学出版賞を受賞。
