Panel Discussion: How Are Publishers Building Trust in the Peer Review System?

Session Agenda

The world of scientific publishing is witnessing significant changes owing to the COVID-19 crisis. Collaborative efforts in response to the pandemic has necessitated quick dissemination, evaluation, and reporting of information, amounting to new challenges in the scholarly publishing ecosystem. It, therefore, becomes important that academia proactively works towards maintaining scientific integrity, and peer review is one critical mechanism to ensure this. Enago in collaboration with leading academic publishing houses—Wiley, IOP Publishing, and Karger Publishers—conducted an interactive panel discussion to celebrate the highly-anticipated event of the year, Peer Review Week 2020! In sync with this year’s theme “Trust in Peer Review”, the session focused on discussing the policies and provisions followed by journals and publishers to reinforce the peer review system.
